Abstract / Description

In this breakout session during the Partners for Advancing Health Equity 2022 Summit, each of the four panelists provided specific issues exemplifying the threat of climate change. The idea of a "threat multiplier" is to be thought of in four components: 1. structural racism, 2. environmental justice, 3. climate change, and 4. outcomes. The fact that climate change is a threat multiplier is highly relevant to any conversation focused on advancing health equity as all of these foundational components must be taken into consideration when addressing climate change. After opening remarks, the session transitioned to a Q&A dialogue with the audience.
